Position Summary

The Strategic Finance Associate will be responsible for providing business insights to the executive team that drive strategic decision-making. In this highly visible role, the ideal candidate will be able to dig into the details without losing sight of the big picture. They will be a team player who enjoys working collaboratively with all levels of internal and external parties to creatively solve problems, increase efficiency, and maximize results. This position is on-site in our Minnetonka office.

key responsibilities

• Maintain the company’s financial models, budgets, and forecasts; analyze KPI trends and translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
• Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to identify and evolve strategic initiatives
• Partner with cross-functional colleagues to examine feasibility & profitability of specific business cases (i.e., new products, corporate initiatives, investment decisions, funding vehicles, process improvements)
• Develop a deep understanding of Channel’s business and its key financial risks and opportunities
• Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency gains; drive initiatives to scale and enhance performance
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Specifications

• Strong financial modeling skills, along with an understanding of financial reporting and cash flow information
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Intellectually curious with a passion for continuous improvement
• Motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience building reports and dashboards using BI tools a plus

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 4 to 7 years of progressive work experience in strategic finance, consulting, FP&A, or related roles, preferably in a high-growth company
