Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst I will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the dashboards and reports that keep our business informed and moving forward. This position will support a wide range of functions including Credit, Risk, Marketing, Sales, and Collections by transforming raw data into clear, reliable, and visually compelling intelligence that drives decision-making across the organization.
key Tasks
- Requirements Gathering & BI Solution Design – Partner with cross-functional business teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable, reliable BI solutions
- Dashboard & Report Development – Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across Credit Risk, Marketing, Sales, and Collections
- Report & Pipeline Monitoring – Monitor and troubleshoot existing reports and pipelines, proactively identifying and resolving data quality or performance issues
- SQL Data Processing – Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from relational databases and cloud-based data sources
- Documentation & Data Governance – Collaborate with IT and support the documentation of data definitions, reporting logic, and pipeline processes to ensure transparency, consistency, and maintainability
- Collaboration with Modeling & Analytics team – to align BI outputs and analytics initiatives
Skills & Specifications
- Dashboard Development Skills – Hands-on experience or coursework involving dashboard creation and the use of complex formulas
- SQL Proficiency – Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, transform, and work with large datasets
- BI Tool Experience – Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred
- Collaboration & Data Quality Mindset – A team-oriented approach combined with strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. A keen eye for accuracy, consistency, and reliability in reporting outputs
- Communication & Translation – Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into analytical or reporting solutions
- Curiosity & Growth Orientation – A natural curiosity and growth mindset, with enthusiasm for expanding both technical skills and business knowledge
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree – in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- Financial services experience – Prior experience or internship in financial services will be considered a plus
- Located in and able to work onsite out of our Minnetonka MN, or Mount Laurel NJ offices
