Risk Analyst

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Risk Analyst to join our team. In this role, you’ll dive deep into data to help us make smarter, more informed business decisions. You’ll work with internal portfolio data, credit bureau insights, and cross-functional teams to evaluate risk strategies and uncover opportunities for improvement. Whether it’s designing dashboards, analyzing trends, or sharing insights with business leaders, your work will help shape the way we assess and manage risk.

key responsibilities

  • Analyze internal portfolio performance and third-party credit bureau data (PayNet, Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, Equifax, etc.)
  • Perform recurring and ad hoc analyses that guide credit and risk strategies
  • Build clear, effective dashboards and data visualizations to communicate trends and findings
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a way that’s easy to understand and act on
  • Collaborate across teams to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Support testing and validation of credit scoring strategies, including UAT execution

Skills & Specifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases
  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus
  • Exposure to R or Python for statistical analysis is preferred
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and eagerness to learn

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, analytics, finance, economics, or a related field
  • 0–3 years of experience in a data or analytics role
  • Experience in financial services, credit, or fintech is a plus but not required
